Laura Jackson is an independent benefits and wellbeing consultant with over 25 years of experience, including a previous role as Global Head of Benefits & Wellbeing at Credit Suisse. With expertise in developing global wellbeing strategies and implementing holistic benefits approaches, she understands the challenges employers face in supporting employee wellbeing and ensuring engagement. Laura collaborates with both industry suppliers/intermediaries and corporates.

 

From a business perspective, employee wellbeing encompasses the holistic health, happiness and satisfaction of individuals in a company, extending beyond physical health to mental, emotional, financial and social aspects. With years of experience, Laura understands the critical role prioritising employee wellbeing plays in impacting performance, productivity, and ultimately overall success for businesses.

 

For Companies: Laura helps to develop their wellbeing and benefit strategies to create the right initiatives to match the employee needs, and ensure more engagement and maximise utilisation of the benefits portfolio (acting within potential budgetary constraints)

For Vendors: Laura helps to hone and inform their proposition to ensure it meets the needs of companies

TECHNICAL ADVICE
  • Inform vendors around the employee benefits and wellbeing space and the key statistics that drive or block adoption

  • Knowledge of corporate purchasing  procedures including tax, contracts and the budgetary process including timetables

  • Sharing of in depth experience of procurement process including key questions, pitfalls and nuances

  • Review and offer commercial and legal feedback on client contracts

  • Suggestions to help with your MI reporting and key data points including investor metrics

ENSURING PRODUCT FIT FOR PURPOSE
  • Assist with identifying most likely target audience and fine-tune the product roadmap accordingly

  • Provide up to date trends in employee benefits/wellbeing to better fit future client needs

  • Offer insight from cross referral of other start ups and innovators that may not be publicly known

  • Ability to fine tune key product messaging that better resonates with buyers, eg language, tone, expected KPIs

  • Review of commercial proposition including pricing in order to compete or fit with corporate budgets and timelines

ROUTE TO MARKET
  • Review pitch documentation, marketing proposition and rehearse key questions and provide constructive feedback

  • Help determine key marketing events to gather feedback, build awareness and promote the brand

  • Provide warm introductions to key people such as influencers, buyers and potential  distribution partners

  • Potential to play a role in relationship building or establishing credibility eg: to support deal closure

  • Identification of employers that are more receptive of product together with specific cultural  insights

FUND RAISING & INVESTMENT
  • Support with the process of raising investment funding. 

  • Undertake commercial due diligence and report writing  

  • Act as Board NED for investors and owners, or Advisory Board Member

  • Ability to access specialist Investment know-how, including terms, via other Venturi colleagues

  • Option to coach individual executives as required
